ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Music + Charity

Near Deaf Experience is the independent music producer duo of Josh Mitchell and Jeff Hill. Jeff originally started NDE in 2014 as a charity effort for kids affected by autism. All NDE songs are written, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Josh and Jeff, with Josh being the primary lead vocalist and Jeff doing mostly backup vocals. Independently, Josh and Jeff created original music for several years before joining together in 2016. NDE’s first album as a duo, Cognitive Dissonance, was released in 2016.

Vision

We are trying to build an army of music listeners to help us improve the lives of kids and adults affected by mental health conditions. Special needs individuals face unique challenges and can benefit from therapies that are often not sufficiently covered by even high-quality insurance plans. Every sale of our music contributes to charity causes that we have chosen due to the great work they are doing. Our aim is to take money that the entertainment industry would normally use to support red carpets and cocaine habits and instead put it in the hands of people who will use it to help others reach their full potential.

Challenge

Don’t be a spectator. We hope you will listen to our music and then engage by sharing it with your friends and offering us feedback (at http://neardeaf.us or on Facebook or Twitter). NDE is always trying to reach a wider audience and make music that is unique but enjoyable. We don’t expect anyone to listen to us solely because of our good intentions. Please let us know what you like or don’t like so we can succeed and convert our vision into reality.
