ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Eric Lindberg and Doni Zasloff are pioneering their blend of Jewish Americana throughout the country, bringing their unique knowledge and passion for both Jewish and Bluegrass traditions to the fore, and felt strongly about creating an American sound while speaking to their own Jewish hearts and spirit. For some, blending these seemingly disparate worlds might seem like a stretch, but Eric and Doni have authentically merged them, creating a unique style that resonates with people of all backgrounds. Their hope is to share elements of Jewish tradition universally through the magic of Bluegrass.

Nefesh Mountain recorded their debut album at the beautiful and legendary Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville TN, and were joined by bluegrass greats Sam Bush on Mandolin, Mark Schatz (of Nickel Creek) on Bass, Scott Vestal (of the Sam Bush Band) on Banjo, Rob Ickes (of Blue Highway) on Dobro, and Gary Oleyar on Fiddle. This incredible team of musicians and voices truly collaborated with Eric and Doni, each member bringing their unique talents and instruments to this one of a kind album. Doni and Eric produced the album themselves and also teamed up with Nashville’s own Adam Taylor as head engineer for the record.
