Album Notes
This multi~media hip hop artist, producer, and sound designer, is also an audio engineer, songwriter, and natural perfumer. Nejma Nefertiti utilizes hip hop and technology as tools to empower black, brown, and first nation youth for generations to come. Her revolutionary matriarchal legacy is to create awareness, inspiration, and social change throughout the entire world, for all oppressed peoples.

She is one of many talented artists that work with Urban Art Beat, a platform for creative expression utilizing art to enhance the mind, spirit, and artistic energy of our youth, and contributes to providing essential performance opportunities and programming in the south Bronx with Pepatián, a south Bronx-based organization dedicated to creating, producing and supporting contemporary multi-disciplinary art by Latino and Bronx-based artists through vibrant and excellent storytelling.

Nejma Nefertiti is the visionary of the cultural wing of a new black arts movement, a community building upon the foundations of the original Black Arts Movement of the 1960’s, founded by Baba Amiri Baraka, Sonia Sanchez, Maya Angelou, Nikki Giovanni, and our many other freedom fighters and ancestors before and after, in the struggle for liberation. She is also visionary of the Women’s Freedom Collective Party, which proposes women’s self defense and weaponry training for the protection and freedom of all women worldwide.
