Album Notes
" I feel about the whole thing - so real. This music comes from such an honest, beautiful place. Their voices sound beautiful together and the production is great - sparse and lush at the same time. I love how their voices can be soft yet retain their strength. Just beautiful. "

- Natalia Zukerman, Singer Songwriter

Once More... With Feeling is the first studio album by Nervous but Excited, formally known as pleasantly aggressive folk duo Kate Peterson & Sarah Cleaver. Their intention while recording this album was to capture the raw connectedness that is their songwriting, while keeping the light-hearted flare that is their live performance. Recorded mostly in their Lansing, MI home, this album captures the comfort of the space with ease. That sense of home shines throughout the album as it seamlessly transitions through tracks.

As these two ladies take the stage or any living room near you, you won't be able to deny the power of their laughter; combined with their genuinely emotive chords and words. These two women are not afraid to sing loud and sing hard. Their harmonies have been described as the kind that build so smoothly until suddenly they start to shake your insides. The sensitive tug of their voices can pull you through worlds of progressive politics and striking introspection... at the same time, their words will find you seeking connection to your own world.

The duo continues to navigate the endless road of music touring and are impressive in their search to find where their music lies and breathes within all of us. These are not two musicians that are just looking for audiences to play to. They are looking for audiences to sing to. To laugh with. To appreciate. To breathe in and to take home. Their humor has welcomed us all, their melody has held us, and their movement has energized us.

We love the album! We look forward to another one! These girls are awesome, an
We love this album. We look forward with anticipation to the release of another one. The first time we heard it we were hooked, and can't stop listening. The vocals & harmoney are excellent.

Incredible. D.licious. Can't-get-enough. Stuck-in-the-cd-player.
This CD is a masterpiece for the first official release from Kate & Sarah. Honestly, I was blown away. The maturity, harmonies, lyrics, and musicianship are top notch. 3 particular favorites come to mind... Unfinished Song, Lansing, and Blessing. Can't seem to get them out of my head. They draw you into Kate & Sarah's world and give you a glimpse into their souls. Kate's voice is unique, soothing, compelling. Sarah's voice is striking. When the two come together, it's amazing. And, the accompanying acoustic guitar, ukelele, etc are the perfect match to the stories sung. Beautiful. Give it a listen, you aren't going to be disappointed!

Amazingly Wonderful
I must say that this is the most amazing work I have seen these two put together yet. The combination of their beautiful harmony and the variety of instrumental sounds used is enough for me to never take this cd out of my player. Listening to it you can't help but know that there was much love and feeling put into the music because the turnout is incredible.

Wonderful Awesome better than I expected
I love the CD. It is wonderful. The only thing wrong is that it doesn't have It Was Nice on it. I love that song. I suggest these ladies to all and my sister is very jealous that I have it and she doesn't so that makes it even better.

Buy two!
The new release from Kate and Sarah is fabulous! You really should buy two copies because you're sure to wear out the first one!

Megan Karbley

Positively entrancing!
Stellar, ladies, really! The words are raw, true, and fluid. I listen to the album over & over: caught up in the harmonies & candor. Have we met, really? I feel like you are singing the lyrics of the point I am in life right now! See you at Guilford this October!

An album to reassure and thrill about the current state and future of indie folk
It's a perfect sampling of NbE material - and very well balanced and arranged. The addition of drums to echo is lovely.
