Album Notes
This album was an accident but turned into the development of a whole new sound that was probably the best thing that ever happened to my music. I raised 19k on Kickstarter and got ripped off by my producer. The 2nd producer I picked didn't want to record any of my existing songs so he had someone make me a track. Although it sounded great, I wasn't inspired by it and never wrote anything. Finally I set out to make an acoustic album, which is the way I primarily perform, with just a cajon and some simple percussion. One thing lead to another and we ended up with a wall of world and hand made instruments backing these broken down, raw, acoustic tracks.
Acoustic/Roots/Rock is the best way we've found to describe the sound. These are essentially pop songs with some reggae influences coming from a rock background. Think new wave Paul Simon with an Adele/Melissa Etheridge type vocal.
