ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
New Regime is a new band that has brought together some of the upstate New York's finest talent, co-led by Rob Lindquist on keyboards and Eric Walentowicz on tenor/soprano saxophones. Their distinctive sound, which consists of mostly original compositions and some covers, is a cross-mix of straight-ahead jazz, European ECM-style, Latin, danceable funk, hiphop based grooves, and world-music influences. From the retro/unique soundscapes of Rob's keyboard to the lyrical lines of Eric's saxes, the listener is drawn in instantly by their hip melodic compositions and the groups fiery and emotional jazz explorations.

very nice creative writting, and tight playing...
i reccently came across their website which directed me here; i have to say these guys not only know how to play well but their tunes are equally "tight and fresh". i especially enjoyed the funky "Dr. J". Besides, there is enough for everyone on this album, a little jazz, funk, latin. New Regime, is tight and deserves to be heard!
