Album Notes
New Shilling is comprised of four of the most sought after Celtic musicians in the Northwest. Their sound encompasses everything from old traditional ballads to wild new original tunes, songs and maybe a little funk thrown in for good measure. And no accordion!…….oh wait…..
So grab a pint of whatever, turn up the stereo or whatever, and have a party! Or whatever.

Peter Yeates is a veteran singer/songwriter/guitarist from Dublin Ireland. He has toured the United states and Canada extensively and has also performed in Germany Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Romania, Russia, Mexico, Bermuda, Korea and his native Ireland. Rob Barrick moved to Portland OR in 1983, and played in several rock bands before collaborating with singer Peter Yeates to form Full Shilling, a Celtic fusion group with Rob McKendrick, Skip Parente, and Steve Mulligan. That group attracted a lot of attention as they played some of the bigger Celtic festivals in the US, such as the Milwaukee Irish Fest. Guest artists with the band included Kevin Burke, Johnny Cunningham and others.

New Shilling
I first heard New Shilling at The High Desert Celtic Festival In Redmond Oregon in 2007. After that I was hooked and had to have some of their music. My only regret is that I have no more of their music to purchase. I certainly hope they put out some new music soon. Great job.
