ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Stage One, our upcoming EP was definitely new territory for us. We loved Silhouettes and what it brought across, but we realized that it limited us from doing more and filling out our sound. With Stage One we had more direction with the sound we wanted to achieve, which was basically, smart well written compositions that were easier for any listener to dive head first into. I (Justin) also wanted the lyrics on the new tracks to be more captivating and just better overall. I took my time making sure they were something I could be proud of putting out into the world. I've found that I write differently to a lot of lyricists that I've paid attention to in the past. I feel that most lyricism has been overdone and I strive to be as original as I can be. Sometimes it's a burden I put on my own shoulders, but I try not to take myself too seriously at the same time.
We originally hoped to release Stage One in summer of this year. However, we struggled with funding and replacing our drummer over spring this year. Through all the struggles we've overcome with NTZ we have learned to tread lightly and not let self-doubt get to us. It's something very bittersweet and constantly challenging though. Every day there is a new challenge that requires a solution. It's up to us to solve them and make them happen.

The song lyrics range from the current climate in politics and the threat of climate change to working hard to make the dream come true. “Dreamers of a time before their lines were drawn in the sand.”
The vocals are very smooth and packed full of energy while the guitar tones are beautiful and masterfully crafted. Not too much, nor too little. Perfect. The bass lines carry a groove you can feel deep in your bones and the drums are very hip and creative.
