For those who aren't familiar with the Gypsies, we are talking about a group of fine individual musicians that create a blend of Balkan/Indian/Turkish/Latin plus plus sounds and present a unique result that every curious ear should enjoy.
I personally noticed them because of their bass player Panagiotis Andreou-who's work and style I happen to admire-but very soon I became a fan of the rest of them. Each one adds his personal ingredient to the pot and what we get is a colorful yet very solid outcome.
In Dromomania, they are showing off their caliber in the most vivid way. You can literally hear everything in this album. Their skills set the quality measure high but, most important, their obvious cultural background make this piece of work original before anything else.
In other words, this is a 100% recommendation for those who appreciate traditional sound and beyond.
