ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Multiple personality disorder? No, actually it's just the one guy, Nick. Perhaps Nick has multiple personality disorder and thinks he can play any instrument he wants? No. He actually does play any instrument he wants. Is he a little crazy? Maybe. Anyway he just recorded his second cd Dirty Martini. To get a real feel of what the cd is remotely all about, it has been said that one has to listen to at least five or six tracks. His music is as varied in styles as his prefrontal lobe is in personalities.

Armed with a few acoustic guitars that are well versed in everything from mellifluous melodies to syncopated chaos and calamity, a tasty Pearl session custom drum kit that is quite allergic to straight beats, a sexy upright bass that doesn't let any of his personalities push her around, a hand carved djembe that is happiest when beaten upon, and just for good measure a Peavey 5150 half stack to keep his Ibanez electric warm and comfy while screaming and wailing, he searches for and creates something sonically different and interesting and lovely and ugly and friendly and scary. Thus by definition, hard to classify.

Basically, what it would sound like if Jazz and Folk were pitted against each other in a no-holds-barred battle to the death inside an acoustic guitar.
