Album Notes
Nick Baker performs at many public and private venues, including Assisted Living facilities and Senior Centers. This album is a collection of "favorites" that Nick performs for the residents at these venues. Some of the tunes are ones that he didn't know, until one of the residents requested the song. Nick then went home and researched that tune, listened to a variety of versions online and created his own arrangement. He delighted the woman by playing that tune, the very next time he visited her. Nick Baker is visually impaired but uses his computer like most of us, but has some adaptive software that "read the screen" to him.
On one occasion, he was playing his arrangement of Misty, a favorite song of his Mom's. Since he knew she was in the audience, he leaned over and whispered "Hey Mom, This one's For You". The album title and the rest is history. Nick's audiences do feel as if he is playing one for them. We've seen couples get up and dance to several of the tunes on this album! Misty is clearly "their song". It is so sweet.
