ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Familia" is inspired by love for our beautiful Mother Earth, all her magical plants, and the global family who live in her embrace. The album takes you on a ceremonial journey through the landscape of human emotions and into the heart of prayer and love. The songs are based in guitars and vocals which provide the foundation for musical accompaniments on cello, double bass and synthesizers. Nick Barbachano is joined by a host of beautiful and talented musicians including Danit Treubig (vocals), Mao Tatanka (vocals and harmonica), Misha Mullov-Abbado, Liam Fletcher (vocals, percussion, bass, and synths) and Jonas Winter (vocals).

Tarana

Going deeper into the soul
I was eagerly waiting for the second album of Nick Barbachano after highly enjoying his first, and it took some time. When I first heard it I realised why, the compositions are even more beautifully crafted, the production is multi-layered and the collaboration of so many inspiring musicians gives a different flavour to the music. Nick has gathered so much amazing talent around him, including two truly inspiring vocalists such as Danit Treubig and Jonas Winter. There is always an anxiety around a second album, if it is going to match the beauty of the first, and Nick did not disappoint us, he created again songs of amazing beauty in which his evolving experience as a musician is evident. There are at least four masterpiece compositions in this album, and songs like Madre Tiera, Child of the Earth, Great Spirit, and Colours are forever and even going to be enjoyed by all people who participate in the prayer circles across the globe.
