ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Trombonist, trumpeter, and composer Nick Vayenas has been a mainstay on the music scene for the past 15 years. Based in New York City, Nick has worked in a variety of settings both as a sideman and leader. From creative jazz to pop, classical, and country, Nick is comfortable in almost any musical setting. 'The Right Time' is Nick's 5th album as a leader and features him playing trombone and trumpet on a set of 8 original compositions. Joining Nick on the front line is longtime musical collaborator Mark Small on tenor and soprano saxophone. On piano is another old friend and fellow Berklee graduate, Asen Doykin. Rounding out the rhythm section is Michale Piolet on drums and Josh Allen on bass. The band captures the essence of each tune and provides an enjoyable set of modern creative jazz.
