ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Alright, here's the deal...

I've been writing these tunes, see...and now I've recorded them, right...and here they are, available for you to purchase...

Sure, I could give you the same old line...like: Scott's music is a fun assortment of folk, pop, and blues.(and I wouldn't be lying)

Or I could quote some of my fans: "Scott's music is tremendous" - Scott's Mom

"He's sooo sexy and confident, it makes me crazy" - Scott's wife.(okay, that one I stretched a bit)

Perhaps some background information: His influences range from the "folk" sounds of David Wilcox and John Gorka to the "pop" sounds of Neil Finn (of Crowded House fame), Glenn Tilbrook (of Squeeze fame), and Matthew Sweet - with a bit of Van Morrison in the mix.

Wouldn't that be nice now? Can you feel the love?

But, yes indeed...we will dig deeper: His first album, "Scott Nielson...From the Basement Apartment", was self-produced and recorded in his apartment. Its acoustic tone and intimate feel was well-received and led to the follow-up "Scott Nielson's Fried Cheese & Other Delights" - a lively folk/pop collection of tunes.

Both albums are available to purchase here at CDBaby.com!

And there you have it. Do you feel satiated? I hope so.

Excellent songs of rugged but sweat folk melodies with a bit of an edge.
For those who simply like good guitar music, this is a CD to add to you collection. A combination of rugged but sweat folk melodies with a bit of an edge mixed in for good measure. What strikes me about this album is that I tend to have a different favorite song after each time I play it. The kind melodies of Heartland and Daydream have a purest quality while the quirky sounds of Internet Love and Chicken Soup are solid songs that provide a listening variety that make you want to jump in your car and drive across the desert on a Vegas road trip. The lyrics are thoughtful and interesting and bring the listener into the song itself. Definitely a CD you will enjoy listening to many times over.
