Album Notes
The "basement apartment" I'm referring to is from my college days at the University of Utah. I lived in a cramped one-bedroom under an old house with bad pipes and very little was fantastic.

These songs started kicking around during my last year in Salt Lake City before heading off to the many temptations of sunny California.

I decided to home-record this batch because I've never been satisfied with the studio experience. (too many cooks...not enough time)

So if you're listening right now, think of a guy sitting in his apartment bathroom (best acoustics) with a $20 microphone, dog whining at the door, and an assortment of cables, harmonicas, shakers, and a tambourine lying on the floor. (that's pretty much the idea here)

And here it is - a collection of acoustic tunes and stories that eventually turned into my first album. So thanks for stopping by. I had a terrific time putting this together - I hope you enjoy it too.

From the Basement Apartment
Scott is a great musician, his music is really fun, whimsical, touching. At times my wife and I just listen to the music and it puts us in a great state. Reminds me of John Denver at times, Cat Stevens at others, and yet has its own unique style that makes you laugh as well. Addictive.

Funny and touching acoustic story-songs
You know those great movies where you can't decide whether to laugh or cry? This disk is just like that! The songs are both funny and touching. Definitely worth a look!

Solid acoustics from a great storyteller
I heard this guy play at an outdoor party and I bought his disk right away. The songs are odd but strangely addictive. Some really funny stuff. Check this out!
