ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is Nina Mankin's debut CD. Co-produced by funk guitar god Danny Blume (of The Lounge Lizards, Jill Sobule and his own Liminal Lounge fame), and featuring such incredible New York players as Tony Maimone, (Pere Ubu, They Might Be Giants and many many more), Dean Sharpe (Jill Sobule, Jane Siberry, Moby)
Jefferson Thomas (of his own cool fame) and Joe McGinty, (of The Loser's Lounge).

Nina's more recent writing, (see her current release "Nina Mankin" on Bingo World Records), leans more in the acoustic direction. She has a duo with songwriter Casey Kelly and currently performs all over the South and Eastern U.S. This album is from when she was conducting monthly games of John Zorn's Cobra and Xsu Feng at New York's Knitting Factory and playing with this awesome ensemble of Downtown NYC greats at The Mercury Lounge, CBs Gallery and The Knitting Factory, among other venues. Lyrics are available at ninamankin.com as are press clips. Enjoy!
