Album Notes
This song was written at the beginning of a very prolific period in which quality caught up with the quantity of his songs.
At this point Anthony was achieving a "higher level" in his writing and he realized it. Maldonado's effective impact on the reader via word-usage was a skill acquired over time. His later works reveal an intensity never present in his adolescent material. "Judgement Day" was written in the spirit of Bob Dylan's attitude at a time when Anthony hadn't even heard of Dylan. "I think sarcasm is a very healthy thing."

Even though, the lyrics are simple and do not reflect the mastery of his craft as a lyricist, the audio is simply amazing.
Anthony brought the demo of this song to Scarlet and once she added her part, the potential skyrocketed. Anthony did not feel that this song was anything special before that. It certainly does not show off the extent of his lyrical prowess. Instead, it is more of a punchline on the album. Scarlet's drums took the song to another level... and once the rest of the musicians added their parts, it was selected as the first single as a result of overwhelming praise...
