Album Notes
You are invited to join a musical journey with Noël Wan that will take you into a secret garden beyond imagination. Through the door of the Secret Garden, you are going to disover “Noël's exquisite musicality, impeccable technique, and mature interpretation of music in different styles..." (Dan Yu, China). Noël's music has been characterized as having “very bold interpretation" (Isabelle Perrin, France), "musical and clean sound” (Judy Loman, Canada), "beautiful [expression]" (Elizabeth Hainen, USA), and “warm tone, wonderful clarity of finger work, and a wide range of dynamics (Daphne Boden, United Kingdom). The jury of the 1st International Harp Competition & Festivals in the Netherlands was captivated by her performance and remarked, “Noel Wan is a huge talent. She has hidden power and amazing maturity. She is an enchanting player." Bart van Oort, chairman of the jury, complimented her rendition of The Secret Garden: "The garden of your tone color is no longer a secret." This album gives you a glimpse to a God-given gift of this 16 year-old harpist, who was named as "one of the rare [musicians]" by the great French harpist, Marielle Nordmann.
