Album Notes
Born in Germany, vocalist and composer Nona Boehm started singing and playing piano at a very early age. She started taking voice lessons in her teenage years; during this period she was accepted at the "Stage School of Music” in Hamburg, Germany. She continued her study for two years specifically in voice, modern at "Dance and Drama School” in Berlin. After this inspiring experience, Nona decided to deepen her studies and she got accepted at the prestigious "Berklee College of Music” in Boston where she graduated. While at Berklee, Nona fully explored her voice by exposing herself to different musical styles such as Jazz, Classical, Pop and Folk. Beside working on her voice, Nona crafted and nurtured her compositional skills.

In later years she decided to explore the softer side of her instrument, the voice: through her work as a performer, educator, and music and movement teacher Nona got attracted by the beauty and the simplicity of traditional folk songs and lullabies. Nona Boehm released her debut album "The Water Is Wide" in 2014, with her artist name Nona B.This album is the result of such a musical journey where folk tunes like “Shenandoah” or “The Riddle Song" interlaces with modern arrangement of classics such as “The Rainbow Connection” or originals such as "Wah Wah Song,” all with a strong emphasis on spontaneous and joyous musical interplay.
