Michael Moore

by Greg Gower

You've probably heard our music on Air America. Tongue in cheek anti-rightwing musical philosophy. If you liked the parts of JibJab about George Bush you'll love "More Michael Moore" and "Frankly Mr. Franken." Check it out NOW. It'll be obsolete tomorrow.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Greg Gower is a liberal-minded, 47year old. He, I, am highly creative, original, intelligent and humble. Since I, have what many consider a less than steller singing voice, I tend to compensate by placing as many words in a song as possible. By doing this, most listeners are able take their mind off the singing and focus more on the indecipherable lyrics.
Many of my songs are really short stories with irony or humor; this is not to say they are all comedies. Alot are just slices of life--songs about lonely people, crazy, old or desperate individuals. I don't write songs about partying, dirty white boys, or love struck souls with inflated libidos. In my opinion, the world has plenty of those. Actually, I have some love songs but they were written under duress or while suffering from the flu or some other viral induced mania.
In my real life I work as an audio engineer for a commercial and film production company in Spokane, Washington. I love the recording process. It makes no sense to me to record every song in the same style, as I like trying different things. I guess that makes me inconsistant. But at least I hope there's some appeal in unpredictability.
I have always wanted to be a songwriter. But it was when I discovered the variety of styles produced by THE BEATLES and George Martin that I became hooked on the recording process. That's where the magic lies. Where the song becomes more than the sum of it's parts.
So take a listen. If you like what you hear, download it and GIVE ME MONEY! If you don't care for the first song, then please listen to another; it will likely sound different. If it still doesn't strike your fancy, forget it. We're probably not meant to be together. But, hopefully,
we can still be friends. And then you can still SEND ME MONEY!

Thanks,
Greg Gower

Political Humor that is music to the soul
The lyrics were right on! It is refreshing to hear contemporary political humor packaged so wonderfully in song. Thanks for the sunshine!
