Album Notes
'Norda' marks Mullen's debut solo CD, and reflects her eclectic range of styles - from classic rock to symphonic tones - a rich tapestry of musical influences, including The Pretenders, Annie Lennox, Moody Blues, Randy Newman, and Grandaddy.

Written and recorded in her hometown of Richmond, West London, UK 'Norda' features 13 original tracks that present the best of melodic pop/rock, coupled with some very innovative arrangements. Her vocals recall a poignant Karen Carpenter, but her songwriting owes much to that of her musical heroes, Chrissie Hynde, and Peter Gabriel.

Mullen plays flute, recorder, melodica, pan pipes, guitars, harmonica, and keyboards, as well as all vocals on this stunning debut.

Simply beautiful and refreshing
After I got to song #2 and I knew I was not going to stop until it was finished. There some really magical songs here and terrific vocals. The opening song, This Beautiful World, is a touching song and uplifting. It will stay with you long after. As stated above, once you've reached song #2, I Like It, it's over, your hooked.
This disc is a stunning debut for Norda Mullen. It is definitely a worthy investment.

Magical Music.....
Every track on this CD is a pure delight to listen to. The lush lyrics and arrangement from each song simply draws you in for more. Fans of Norda's will know her from her many years of touring with the iconic Moody Blues where she continues with them to this day, playing a wicked flute, guitar and offering up some wonderful vocals . This CD truly showcases her beautiful voice, writing ability and overall musicality. The entire CD is a joy to listen to. I look forward to more great music from this fabulous artist!

A Heavenly album
It’s a very wonderful album with very lovely songs. I liked ALL the tracks and I really felt very relaxed and happy after listening to it. Thanks dear Norda for giving us so nice and peaceful music and at home my wife and I have enjoyed so much listening to it. In my modest opinion, I will give my personal point of view of each track of your album, one by one.
1.- This Beautiful World.- What a marvellous way of starting your album!! I loved it right away! The intro is so sweet with Norda's voice and when the tempo changes, it has a powerful rhythm with a very traditional sound and style. A beautiful piece of music and one of my Top-3 of this album.
2.- I Like It.- Very sweet and quiet song. Love its rhythm! And her voices sounds so softly. The best choice for a single.
3.- It’s OK.- A very beautiful melody and she sang it with too much feeling. Another one of my Top-3 of “NORDA”.
4.- Believe In Me.- A very good track and with great lyrics. I like its rhythm and I found it in a little “Moodys style” in the music.
5.- Home.- I’ll be honest. I fell in love with that song as soon as I listened to it. I like the soft rhythm in the beginning and the instrumentation before the chorus. But hervoice is so lovely here! She sings with the style of Karen Carpenter. Indeed! I think so! And it’s my fave song of this album.
6.- Waiting For You.- Another wonderful song with so heavenly voice in the chorus. A very beautiful ballad with so melodic voice! I felt like in heaven.
7.- Oui Oui.- Again I fell in love with another song of this album. The melody is so so touching and I was feeling like I was in Paris drinking a cup of coffee, watching the Eiffel Tower and then, dancing with whom I love. Thanks Norda for this incredible song!
8.- Amazing Grace.- A classical song with the touch of Norda’s flute. No more to say, I had my heart in my hands.
9.- Steal My Thunder.- Again her voice sounds so great! A very versatile song with a very good tempo. Liked it.
10.- Do The Angels Cry?.- The perfect way of ending your very great album. After listening to it, it seems that this song must have been sung by an angel.
And finally, This Beautiful World (instrumental), It’s OK (Instrumental) and Believe In Me (Instrumental), were an appropriate way of showing the beauty of each one of these songs though these instrumental versions. It was like changing of clothes from a sport way to a deluxe way. This was my sincere opinion of every song of your delightful album.
