ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Christmas comes early for fans of Norine Braun, as the eclectic indie singer-songwriter releases "Lost Tracks Bootleg," a 4 song digital EP containing what she calls "the lost sessions of music that could have/should have been released before 'Modern Anguish' (1996) and before the collection of the songs that became 'Miles To Go' (1999)."
It includes the haunted song, "Touch Me”, co-written by Kathleen McGee and previously unheard, early versions of the other 3 "lost rock tracks”, Not the Church, Please Don’t Go Away and Watch the News have been available only to fans who collect unofficial "bootleg" recordings including Mystic and Fools Demo Norine recorded in 1993, after winning the FACTOR new talent award.

The collection is worthy of an EP release, while providing an early glimpse into what made Braun rock in her formative singer-songwriter recording years.

NORINE BRAUN
From the Triad Theatre in NYC to Shibuya Home in the entertainment district of Tokyo and to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, international performer and singer-songwriter Norine Braun offers an "amazing, diverse and terrific show" according to DJ Motmot from Songplanet adding she "would definitely go see Norine perform again".

Vancouver based Norine Braun, showcases her vast pool of musical influences, which according to Progressiveworld.net, is “all over the musical map, stretching...her vocals into pop, rock, hip-hop, jazz, spoken-word, blues...you name it, she's got it covered.”

Citing derivative influences that include Sade, Bjork, Tracy Chapman, kd lang, Patti Smith and Norah Jones, Braun’s musical bedrock is steeped in soul, with jazz, ambient pop and rock & roll laid overtop in a sound that Indie-Music.com has observed “has great depth, versatility, and provides a fresh alternative to pretty much anything you could get your hands on in the mainstream progressive rock world.”

The recipient of awards including the prestigious ‘Female Singer-Songwriter of the Year’ in the Jazz Category at the International Independent L.A. Music Awards, Braun, even as a newcomer, has dazzled her critics as “a rare find,” according to The Best Female Musicians Magazine. Ink19 Magazine, meanwhile, has observed that while “people throw the word eclectic around a lot these days...pop vocalist Norine Braun...earns that label.”

Artsy and fun, thoughtful and savvy, Norine Braun will zing to the heart of any listener.
