Album Notes
It was somewhere between 11th and 12th grade when Norm realized for the first time that he had three testicles. He wrote a song about his third nut to score chicks and establish superiority over his dull bi-gonadic male peers. It was then that he realized he had an aptitude for writing crappy songs about ridiculous subject matter. Norm met Dusty Magnum in 2006 and together they have confused people that are half-way listening and generated awkwardness and scattered applause from literally several, several different audiences at various open-mic nights and other non-paying venues.

In 2007, Norm finished his first CD - a project recorded in his living room in which he plays all the instruments and sings all the vocals.
To ensure the highest possible quality for his cd, Norm hired the guy who mixed and mastered the Rolling Stones albums to make his cd sound absolutely perfect.
So what do you get?

The 10 tracks on this album represent the passion and genius of Norm Sherman’s music. Tales of dates gone awry, stories of non-traditional milk sources, nightmares of Jesus DNA being discovered and exploited, paranoid conspiracy theories about the government and chupacabres - it all blends together with mediocre banjo playing and Norm’s tender and sincere voice. You’ve never heard anything like Norm Sherman, that’s for sure. Listen for yourself, you’ll agree – “he’s an entire testicle better than everybody else out there.”

This cd is fantastic, and I don't even really like bluegrass music. I can't decide which song is my favorite- they are all hilarious. Very catchy and impressive playing, hard to believe it's just one guy overdubbing all those instruments and vocals. Norm is a one-man bluegrass band.

This cd has changed my life. Daddy drinks because you cry has forever changed my parenting style, and everybody's got nipples has totally opened my eyes to the possibilites for world short, this album will change the world.

This is a great cd! It is hilarious and should be owned by everybody.

What a great CD this is! Norm is great at what he does. And he does it all. This CD is crazy, weird, funny, sweet and has some great music too! An awesome mix of fun lyrics and catchy music that bring a big smile on my face every time I listen. If you love to have something weird in your life, buy this CD and your life will never be the same.

This is one of the best cd's I own. HILARIOUS! I love it!!

I'm not sure that people realize how difficult it is to write a funny song. We're seeing a lot of comedians picking up the guitar these days, and a lot of them have a hard time making the transition from cracking wise to crafting an effective, humorous piece of music. Well, this gent leaves the one-liners alone and instead relies on dry wit and timing that work perfectly with the subtle, jangly, bluegrass-y brand of guitar playing that he incorporates as his backdrop. The deadpan delivery with which he delivers lines like "There's a fetus in your kitchen/ I'm not hungry anymore" is so controlled and delicate, it can't help but add a certain majesty to it all. Along these lines, it's worth mentioning that the music here is actually pretty darn good. But, it's the lyrics that are most likely to grab your attention. There's torrid tales of dates gone wrong, traditional narrative ballads, and some tunes that, if not for the "blue" language, would border on semi-educational. It's tough to bridge the gap between intelligent social commentary and slightly low-brow human anatomy jokes, but Norm's well on his way to making it happen.

The songs are hillarious. I love the mythological creatures all over the jacket and putting in the guitar notes so you can learn the songs is a nice touch as well. Definitly worth a listen.

Norm just gets music and the magic of the unexpected and his songs show it. I strongly recommend his album, podcast and hopefully a follow up album. Sure, you bought some albums of whatever is fresh at the time, whatever made your teenage years flow, but when was the last time you got music purely for its potential to make you laugh. Far too long for me, I'm in!

Funny Stuff
This is a great comedy album. The song are funny and a bit irreverent. Well, maybe more than just a bit. I heard a couple of the numbers from Drabblecast and knew I had to get them for my own. thanks Norm.
