Along For The Ride

Honky-tonk edge and real life depth. Real country music with a Texas edge. Norris's original studio album is a brilliant pre-cursor to his acclaimed follow-up album, "DEUCE".

Album Notes
"Here's an artist who sounds like he just stepped off the bandstand of a Lone Star dance hall with a West Texas tornado on a rope!"
- Matthew Gillian, WSM Opry Star Spotlight, Nashville

"The production is outstanding! The songs are top notch...I'm adding this week!"
- Ken Murray, Program Director, KTTX 106.1 FM

"No additives or preservatives, just 100% fresh country entertainment!"
- PopWire Music Review

Keith’s music is now playing on radio and internet stations throughout America and Europe. His live shows are lauded as dynamic and compelling by critics, who frequently compare him to Garth Brooks and George Strait. Nashville record producer Brett Beavers says, “Reminiscent of early Strait, Keith’s music has that wonderful combination of honky-tonk edge and real life depth.” Matthew Gillian of WSM’s Opry Star Spotlight calls him “an artist who sounds like he just stepped off the bandstand of a Lone Star dance hall with a west Texas tornado on a rope.”

Still more awesome Country music here!
I got Keith's "DEUCE" album first, after hearing "Too Cool For Horses" on the radio. It was awesome (check it out). Then I found out about this album. It rocks with the first cut, 2-steps with the next. Lots of cool lyrics and great grooves. "Viento, Mi Amigo" is my current favorite!

Love it!!!!!!!!
Not a throwaway in the bunch. I have listened to this cd many times and each time, I just love it more. This man should be a star.

Country Review

Along For The Ride is an exceptional debut by an exceptional new artist.
From reckless beats to mellow croons, this man's music proves he is more than just along for the ride. Born and raised in Texas, a state known for its take-charge members in the country music industry, Keith Norris joins the ranks of past leaders to take a stand of his own with his first independently released album.

Along For The Ride is an exceptional debut by an exceptional new artist. Each of the ten songs available, five of which were co-written by Keith, offers a high quality of background sounds and technology, all complimenting the voice in the forefront.

Opening with title-cut "Along For The Ride" and "Burnin' Your Bridges At Both Ends", the singer/songwriter invites listeners to come along for the ride as he billows up clouds of dust with hard driving rhythms and two steppin' tempos.

Keeping with a hop-along pace, "On My Way To Texas" takes a young cowboy from riding a stick horse to wearing a courtroom cape, all the while wishing he was on his way to Texas "where a cowboy still has room to ride." "Cry, Cry Again" is another country rocker worth mentioning, whereas "Viento, Mi Amigo" would be a great crossover tune into the Tejano market.

Although the upbeat songs do seem to be right up this particular cowboy's alley, we admit to really being "caught" by a couple of the album's ballads. Of the slower numbers, our favorites have quickly become "Where Would I Be Now" and "Get Out Of My Dreams", a heartbreaking, yet hopeful type of song.

Regardless of his choice of song, however, Keith Norris sings them all with the passion and conviction of a born leader — one who is strong enough to continue on his ride for many years to come.

It's simple....If you like country music, you'll like this CD! Keith definitely has that smooth Texas sound and the overall production is very professional. I love it!

How this talented singer has not made it big yet is a mystery to me.
