Album Notes
This album and songs were concieved here in LA. and is part of a three cd series called 'My Collective Series' because these three cd's compile most of the songs i've written, covered and recorded over the past twenty years between LA. and London between 1983' - 2003'.These songs were inspired from former girl friends, dates and girls i was fond of at the time. Some lived in London and some were from LA. You can see and understand where i'm coming from. Some of my former ladies are on my new cd covers.'From Foxy Lady' to 'Azetta's Theme' these were about my girls. Some showed happiness, some tracks sad, some showed anger and it was how i wrote these tracks because i was feeling that way at the time.I lived in hollywood on hollywood bl. from 86' - 98' This where 'Heart of Stone' and ' Foxy Lady' was concieved and recorded except 'Foxy Lady' was written in London,England in 1983' ,recorded in LA. in 1989',the next album in the series 'Heart of Stone' album is more r&b,dance, pop & soul. There's one cover song on here called 'When I Fall' which was originally a country & western track sent to me from New York from writers Pat Falletta and OweLiebreich. A young New York producer Aaron Hatch produced it and we made it sound real smooth but funky. There's much dance music on this cd of 11 tracks. 'Lady 'C' is from london her name is 'Carole',i met in london while touring london with 'Barry White' on a few ocassions and when i moved there in 81' we met again by accident at a carnival. The third album 'Have You Got The Time' album has ten tracks, three are covers written by guitarist 'Earl Klugh' called 'Living Inside Your Love' which guitarist George Benson' recorded this track in the late seventies, also 'Soft Stuff' & 'I'm Ready For Love'.All the others were concieved and recorded in london in 1983' & 84'.Much of this music has never been heard except for friends and family some time ago.I gathered this music from many tapes, records, dats, disk & cd's to transfer to cd format from my closet to compile 'My Collective Series' work from 83' -2003'.This album is more jazz fusion.I'm sure you're going to enjoy my versatilty in my writing and styles of music,i love it ! Check out 'My Collective Series, musically & sincerely,Emmett North Jr.
