ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The first song I wrote for this album "Throw Your Love Away" was written on an acoustic guitar I had with me when I stumbled upon the grave of James Fenimore Cooper ("Last of the Mohicans") in an old church yard beside the waters of Lake Otsego in Cooperstown, New York.

Most of the time I get my song inspiration either "out of the blue" or while I'm watching period dramas or Euro crime shows on TV.

I use the "ultra rack' style of guitar tuning and playing to craft melodic melodies in many genres including folk, pop, jazz, country and alternative rock.

I feel most comfortable sitting in front of a studio mixing board with my 1963 Fender stratocaster and a 1968 Neumann U87 microphone.

I never have any preconceived notion of what I might create and allow my mind to "wander in the wind" for the next catchy song and verse I might happen upon.

I freely blend various styles of music (for example hip hop drums with classical strings) in my music and most songs have been crafted after many hours of experimentation in the studio with my producer.

Rather than follow any "happening" trend I chose to craft melody and lyrics that will prove to be memorable and timeless.
