ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
1. Paddy's Green Shamrock Shore / Scatter the Mud Traditional song followed by traditional jig
Linda (vocals, bodhran), John (guitars), Susie (fiddle), Tom (flute, low whistle, whistle)
This song takes you on a journey from sadness and apprehension of leaving the homeland to the trepidation and excitement of the long sail to America.

2. Field Behind the Plow Song by Stan Rogers
Linda (lead and harmony vocals), John (guitar), Glenn (lead guitar, harmony vocals), Tom (harmony vocals)
We are all supporters of our local small farmers. This is a nod to that sentiment.

3. I Hear them All / Virginia Reel By David Rawlings
Linda (vocals, bodhran), John (guitars), Susie (fiddle), Tom (flute, low whistle, whistle)
This song really spoke to Linda in a deep way. In Nutshell's version of this Old Crow Medicine Show song, Linda and John begin as a thoughtful reflection, the whole band joins in and it moves into hopefulness and fun and then ends as a reverent, multi-harmony prayer of sorts.

4. Briar and the Rose Traditional song
Tom and Linda on vocals We fell in love with this song when heard it performed by Dolores Keane.

5. Moorcocks Crow
Traditional song learned from Matt and Shannon Heaton's great CD "Lover's Well"
Linda (vocals), John (guitar), Tom (sitar)
Tom adds a little Classical Indian flavor with his sitar improvisation on this songs chord structure.

6. Banshee/High Reel Traditional reels
Susie (fiddle), Tom (whistle), Glenn (guitar, bass), John (drums, guitar), Linda (bodhran)
We love to rock out on High Reel. These two tunes are a great contrast and a lot of fun.

7. Pastures of Plenty Song by Woody Guthrie, arrangement inspired by Solas
Linda (vocals), Tom (flutes), Glenn (guitar, bass), John (dumbek)
Solas is such an inspiration so we didn't mess around with their arrangement too much.

8. Bramble and the Rose Song by Barbara Keith
Linda (lead vocals, banjo ukulele), Glenn (guitar, bass, harmony), John (drums), Tom (flute, harmony), Susie (fiddle, harmony) We took an upbeat tack on this old favorite.

9. Rambling Pitchfork / Kerry Jig / Out on the Ocean
Traditional Jigs
Susie (fiddle), Tom (whistle), Glenn (lead guitar), John (guitar), Linda (banjo ukulele, percussion)

10. Silly Jig / Knickers Original jig by Tom Voiles, traditional song
Tom (sitar), Glenn (guitar, vocal harmony), Susie (fiddle, vocal harmony), John (cymbal, guitar), Linda (lead vocals)

11. I am Awake Traditional song (English Version by Linda Teaman and Tom Voiles), arrangement inspired by Altan
Linda (vocals), Kay Brown (harp), John (guitar), Paul Winder (fiddle), Tom (flute, sitar)

12. Do You Love an Apple Traditional song
Linda (vocals), Glenn (guitar), John (drums), Tom (flute)
Glenn led us into a jazzy version to this traditional song.

13. Fields of Gold Song by Sting, arrangement inspired by Eva Cassidy
Linda (vocals), John (guitar), Glenn (guitar), Susie (fiddle), Tom (flute)

14. Dominion / Humors / Julia Delaney
Traditional reels
Susie (fiddle), Linda (banjo ukulele, bodhran, percussion), Glenn (guitar, bass), Tom (flute, whistle), John (drums, guitar)

Linda Team (lead vocals, harmony vocals, banjo ukulele, bodhran, percussion, and dinner)
Tom Voiles (harmony vocals, flute, whistle, low whistle, sitar)
John Lloyd (guitar, drum set, dumbek)
Susie Lorand (fiddle, harmony vocals)
Glenn Simon (lead and accompaniment guitar, bass, harmony vocals)

With: Kay Brown (harp on I am Awake) and Paul Winder (fiddle on I am Awake)
