Album Notes

The most creative musician in recent times in the African and European music industry; His cocktail of genres from the western world R&B and Gospel, to traditional Highlife music, juju music and reggae is responsible for his unmatchable uniqueness. Benji started as a songwriter and back up vocalist before hitting the limelight. Thanks to his mom, Apostolic Mother Rachael O. Ogundadegbe and his father in the lord Rev. Father N.O Akindele, for guidance giving to Benji as a young African man.
Benji Started playing around with the bass guitar when he became familiar with music. This motivated him into greater challenges in the music world. He graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. After his degree program, his interest in other parts of the world grew, especially music in developed countries. Benji came to the U.S to see how he could fit in the music business taking cognizance of the fact that the U.S has some of the world’s best. His debut album is a unique blend of life (World Music), R&B and Gospel, “I have always wanted to make world music evergreen as an artiste, so I thought it well help keep my fans happy and my style of music alive” explains this endowed musician on his first Album; sincerely, his debut album reflected all of that, cutting from the roots to the urban genres. The album became a delight for entertainment reporters and music journalist in Africa and Europe. His performance is rated first class at high brow events and he has also performed with international acts at major events, they include; Majek Fashek, Mike Phillips, RL and Glenn Lewis just to mention a few.
For Benji, he is just getting close to the beginning of successful music career. When asked the downside of his career so far, he says none so far, no matter what the obstacles are, don’t ever loose focus, do not get distracted, believe in God and yourself. One can clearly identify that this has helped him as he continues in his relentless pursuit of excellence. He wrote and sang all the songs on his album. With countless achievement in his country and beyond, Benji is still very humble and real. The world is waiting for more as he is ready to give much more. His drive for music and creativity can only lead him to greater and better things. He epitomizes freedom of expression using music as a platform to exhibit the development of music in Nigeria and Africa in general which should be embraced by the global music industry. With his mind set on the international scene, this workaholic remains unsatisfied until he conquers the world.
