Album Notes
Take a pinch of Otis Redding, mix it with a little John Hiatt, give it the voice of James Brown and the soul and sensibility of Van Morrison and you get damn close to the Missiles of October! The Missiles are a dynamic source of delight for fans, music critics and music industry icons whenever and wherever they perform.

Even after producing Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin and many others, Jimmy Johnson of Muscle Shoals Studios exclaims: "They are the best act I've seen in ten years!" Poul Finn Pedersen's poignant and creative writing is exceeded only by a vocal execution, which, in Johnson's view, is "..as good as it gets!"

Mike Boehm, music critic for The Los Angeles Times is a member of their growing collection of highly impressed admirers and voted their first album "Tropic of Soulfolk" as the number one release of 1997.

Their second release, "Hope" appeared in 2000 and confirmed the status of The Missiles of October as Orange County's most talented maverick band.

Now, indie-label Tres Pescadores Records presents the Missiles in their finest form - live in front of their adoring fans at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, CA. Guitarist Richard Bredice combines sweetness and raunch in equal doses. The solid rhythm section of Jimmy Perez on bass and Frank Cotinola on drums creates a perfect blend of sound in a melting pot of soul, rock, blues and folk. With their solid playing and amazing harmonies, The Missiles of October have been dazzling audiences at The Belly Up Café, The House of Blues, The Marine Room in Laguna Beach and wherever they play throughout the U.S. and United Kingdom.

I feel like I'm at the Marine Room! How cool!
What a great CD! A lot of great material that is not available on the other two CD's! A sure winner! Thanks Missiles! We appreciate the music!

Great live version! "Mar" Bar veteran hoping y'all put Tupelo Honey on next CD!
Several of my friends having been coming to the Mar bar for many years(all of us during the J.Buffett w/end) and catch y'all usually both Thurs nite & Sunday aft. and listening to this CD brings out the energy and vibe of the music back home for us. We fans have to bombard V. Morrisson to let y'all put Tupelo Honey on CD because it's been awhile for us Out-of-staters since we've heard it. Keep rockin' guys, there's no one like ya.

Pulp Studio

The Best So Cal Party Band
Great recording of our favorite local band. We have had them for 2 private parties and this CD feels like we are back at the Coach House seeing them for the first time. One of Southern California's best kept secrets that keep on entertaining...You are the best!

Also in Switzerland
Even in Switzerland some guys listen to the missiles. I saw them several time in the marine room, and we had allways a great time. When are you guys comming to europe ?

Way cool live
While the Missiles two studio CDs are excellent, they are best experienced live. If you can't catch them over a few chilly Sierra Nevadas (delivered in-person by a gorgeous waitress) at the Marine Room this will do. Outstanding live disc!
