Album Notes
Making its debut in 2001, OFFRAMP is a collection of music sonically reminiscent of classic and progressive rock with some new age styling. Difficult to categorize into one format, OFFRAMP's music is a textured amalgam of various influences including everything from Rush, Kansas, Yes, the Allman Brothers, and Pink Floyd to Vangelis, early Pat Metheny, and Bruce Hornsby. Although OFFRAMP's eclectic derivations reflect upon such artists, the music is unique in its own right and stands apart from contemporary rock offerings. Check out the links section to purchase the tunes.

A second OFFRAMP cd is in the works and should be finished sometime in 2007. For more information on OFFRAMP and to hear some of the new songs, check out the official OFFRAMP Myspace page in the links section.

Great Music
This CD is a quality blending of progressive and classic rock in a way that evokes thoughts of great bands like Kansas and Rush. From the hard-rocking Fallen and Locomotive Man to the ethereal, Pink Floyd-inspired Signals and the beautiful, Gregg Allman-like melodies of The River's Wide, Offramp covers a broad spectrum of complex musical styles and they do it well. Thoughtful lyrics and substantive songwriting make this disc a worthy addition to any prog rock collection. I am definitely looking forward to their next one!

OFFRAMP took me by storm! Being a progressive music fan, I was immediatly hooked by this album! Chris Messina's writing and playing are the backbone of OFFRAMP. Very melodic, powerful and to the heart. I am anxious to hear where Chris goes with the next project! I highly recommend this release!

Excellent CD
I loved the OFFRAMP CD it was by far the best on this site. The songs are great and really are true rock. My all time favorite song is the "torch song". By far the best...

Awesome Solid Cd
This is a solid cd from Offramp, especially for their debut disc. Torch Song is the solid hit off of this disc, one of my favorite songs ever, featuring Solid Peart-esque lyrics and a driving Zeppelin/Rush-esque groove drive this song to be the highlight of this disc. Other highlights include the insightful lyrics to Fallen and the stylish amalgam of Signals.
Definitely a must listen for fans of Zep, Rush, Yes or most classic and prog rock.

Crank It Up
A must for the CD collector of progressive rock. The River's Wide one of my favorites and Signals really jams. Fans of Zepplin, Floyd and Rush can definitely feel the influence on this great debut CD... A must buy!
