God bless the musicians and voices on this CD!
The Reggae for Christ CD is a nice piece of work. I confess it takes 3 or 4 times of listening before each of the tracks sounds good to me. But now I love them. God bless the musicians and voices on this CD. It´s a mix of Roots Reggae, some kind of Lovers Reggae, especially for Christ and one track has a great Calypso-Flow. All in all the tracks have their individual groove. So if you need some music for a sit-in, to keep you in a working mood or just to relax. You will enjoy that music. And people who have a dancing flow in their blood – that music will shake it!
Schalom to your souls!

OFMB Records "Reggae For Christ Volume One" is a very exciting project. I became excited the moment I opened the package and saw the names on the project. I was even more excited when I heard the tracks and became more excited with each one. As I read the credits I was very impressed. The list of musicians is truly outstanding. The packaging of the CD is just great & I love the fact that it's an interactive CD. The video is just great as is the photo gallery. The tracks are outstanding and have tremendous cross over potential for the secular reggae market and radio. This is truly authentic roots reggae with an uncompromising Christ centered theme. The songs are both biblical and relative to contemporary times. The songwriting is without a doubt divinely inspired. Among these great songs my favorite is "Don't Cast Your Pearls Before Swine" by Katalys Crew. I love how the first verse is a summary of the bible story while the second verse give life application. As a preacher I recognize a good sermon when I hear one and that's one.

"To Whom Much Is Given Much Is Required" by Mikey Spice is another song that really got my attention. This confirmed what I knew all along. Mikey Spice was born to sing gospel. This a moving heart & soul felt performance from the son of Bishop Sebert Johnson and Evangelist Valarie Johnson. I play his material frequently on my program as he is true to his church roots in singing a lot of spritual songs but I've never heard him like this. My radio audience loves it too as it is now being requested as is the afore mentioned "Don't cast your pearls before swine." Mike also appears in his usual reggae-matic form with "You're gonna Reap What You Sow" and he gets to display his God given musical gift in playing bass on "The Devil Is On The Prowl" & "Since The World Didn't Love Me."

I was also impressed by Kellian Bernard's voice as she was tremendous in singing "push up the praise." I'm in love with that song. She doesm't sound like any 12 year old I've ever heard. "Demon Possed" & the title track by Andrew Lawrence are also outstanding songs. He has an amazing voice and delivers with true conviction. In fact I chose the title track as one of my theme songs that I play every week at the beginning of my program as I love to "Reggae For Christ." Limey Murray's "The Devil Is On The Prowl" is another amazing song. He also did a great job aranging the vocals on the entire project. "Ease and Settle" by Katalys Crew is another favorite of mine. I can't get enough of this band. This another example of great song writing by the album's producer Tennyson Walters who wrote all the songs. There is a biblical message but it's delivered in everyday Jamaican terms. As a heartical Jamaican I love it!!! Another example of this is the first song on the album "Yeah Man No Problem" by Judy Mowatt who sounds as good as ever. She also serves as the coordinator for this project. She also sets a churchy Caribbean worship tone with "The Most High Jesus Christ." TNJ impresses me with "On the Road To Zion." This is a rootsy/ soulful song done tastefully over a great rhythm track with a little bit of patios (I LOVE IT!!!). Kevin Downswell shows that he is a gifted singer On "Evil Doers" (two different mixes) & "Since The World Didn't Love Me."

Over all this is a great project and we'll be hard pressed to see a better Christ centered reggae album in 2006. Many lives will be touched by this project through the words music and vocal delivery. A great album.

Uplifting, Spirit inspired reggae that feeds the soul and refreshes.
Reggae For Christ has reached backward and forward across the generations and across cultures to inspire young and old alike. Songs such as Yeah Man No Problem, The Devil is on the Prowl and You gonna reap what you Sow retells biblical principals in a modern and fun venue. The smooth, sultry music style wraps the listener in the calm peace of the Holy Spirit while teaching the principles that snatches the hearer from the deception of the devil. In the end you cannot help but Push up the the Praise. This CD is both inspiring and refreshing, indeed!
