Album Notes
Every song on this record is a direct tribute to the men who have influenced how I play. If you are a mainstream blues listener, chances are you have never heard of most of these men and if that's the case I'd like to introduce you to Belton Sutherland, Pat "RockaDaddy" Murphy, Paul "Wine" Jones, Jack Owens, Robert Belfour, Junior and Kinney Kimbrough, R.L. Burnside, and Lightnin Malcolm.

40 Nickels For A Bag Of Chips was recorded live with NO overdubs, NO effects, and NO Les Pauls in 1 hour 50 minutes at Delta Recording Services in Como, Mississippi. Every song but "Kill The Old Gray Mule" and "Issaquena" are first takes. Kinney had never heard ANY of the songs except "Issaquena" prior to recording them. Issaquena was our warm up song, and somehow we got off beat on the first try for "Kill the Old Gray Mule" so the song presented here is the 2nd take.

CR Humphrey - guitar
Kinney Kimbrough - drums

Jimbo Mathus - Spiritual Advisor and Sketch Artist
Justin Showah - Engineer
Mixed and Mastered by Justin Showah at Delta Recording Services, Como Mississippi
