Album Notes

I owe Lightnin Malcom one HELL of a debt. First of all it weren't for him and Cedric Burnside, I probably would've given up trying to play hill country blues in the first place! But in regards to this album, Lightnin helped me get the whole thing started by sitting in on drums for a 2 hour session in February 2012. Those rhythm section tracks we recorded set the tone for the album, fired up my inspiration, gave me the confidence to ask other folks whose music I respected if they'd be interested in recording with me, and made me decide to make an album I'd like to listen to driving down the road in my truck without worrying wether or not I could perform those songs live exactly like they were recorded. Plus he's given me the opportunity to play bass for him, play guitar FOR him, and play guitar alongside him at shows in Texas and Mississippi. Can't thank you enough Lightnin!

Making this album made me very happy and I hope that comes through the music, out your speakers and into your soul!

The utmost thanks and respect to: Cedric Burnside, CW Ayon, Dave Sims Jr, Jason Wilburn, Lightnin Malcolm, and Snooks La Vie for contributing their time, talent and a PILE of soul to this album! Never would have happened without yall and that's for damn sure!
