ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
From their start as the houseband in the world-renowned Franciscan Well Brewpub in Cork, One Horse Pony have grown to be staples on the international blues dance circuit, having recently headlined 2013’s largest blues dance event in the world, the Berlin Blues Explosion.

‘Blue When I Go’ is the group’s first full length album, recorded in a big house on a windy hillside in West Cork, and comprised of eleven original songs and one Robert Johnson classic for good measure. The songs were honed in some of Ireland’s best loved venues, such as De Barra’s of Clonakilty and the Crane Lane Theatre in Cork City, and cover a vast spectrum of their favorite genre, from stomping country blues and a-cappella gospel to the occasional bout of heavy-hearted melancholy, without which no true blues album would be complete.

Foot stomping blues!
A fantastic debut album from a band I've been following for some time. A really nice trip across various blues genres with plenty of original material. Highly recommended.
