Album Notes
Oneness is a non-profit organization that works to eliminate racism and promote the oneness of humanity through music, the arts and education. One of Oneness’ signature programs is our annual Songwriters’ Summit for Oneness, which brings together some of the industry’s top lyricists and composers. At the Summit, participants are inspired to not only contemplate world issues of humanity, racial unity and social justice, but to also consider the role that they, as artists, play in affecting positive change.

“Oneness: Songs of Hope & Unity” contains some of the music that has been written over the past four Summits. From Alternative, to POP and R&B; the songs represent a variety of genres and styles all expressing, in their own unique way, the common theme of the oneness of humanity.

Oneness believes in the power of music…all music …to make us contemplate, dance, laugh, question, cry, reflect, sing, love, and sometimes even be angry. Regardless of the emotion or thought it provokes, music always stirs something within. Oneness’ goal with this CD is to provide music that connects us with hope and a deeper sense of our unity.

Oneness...The Time Is Now
I just listened to it for the first time today, went online to buy it for friends, and felt compeled to comment...such was the Truth contained in its message, and the heart-opening & uplifting quality of the music. Your world will be a better place, if you listen!

An emotionally moving, thought provoking work of art!
My name is Leila.... and I am compelled to share my heartfelt thoughts. I truly realize that my review may seem biased to some and certainly I can understand that, But I could not let another minute pass without expressing the most SINCERE and heartfelt words my soul could muster. This CD brings "humanity" love and "light" into a world that has been wounded for far too long. I am so deeply blessed to have been a part of this project and to have been inspired and awed by the beautiful songs contained within. The songs, the artists and the producers are BRILLIANT! I would never lend my support or energy towards something that didn't capture "my heart". I stand behind this project and songs proudly and lovingly. The songs that make up this cd are moving...inspiring...touching. You will cry, laugh and feel "hope" but most of all you will realize that you are all blessed, you are all special, you are all divine and have gifts to share and that "oneness" is more than just a cd of beautiful songs. Musically speaking, it contains a variety of genres, R&B, Pop, Alternative and Rock. You are all in for an AMAZING treat! I mean this sincerely, as a person of integrity. We all did this for the love of the message and cause, there is no alterior motive to my review. As a consumer who has to be mindful of where to spend hard earned money, I am just like you. As an independent musician, I am not swayed by any "company or entity" and as a lover of music I buy what moves me not what is promoted "to me". I would not hesitate to buy this cd! Bless you all for listening to the clips and supporting the cause...Sincerly, Leila

awesome! very joyful.. and uplifting
Oneness is a WONDERFUL compilation put together by some really talented artists. As soon as I put it on for the first time, I was just blown away. I absolutely love it! Listen to the tracks if you're not sure. (Or just take my word for it. *grin*)

My only not-super-excitedly-enthusiastic feeling about it is that more than one of the tracks sound kinda weird to my ears. Hmmm. I haven't really sat down and scrutinized them, but there are a few tracks that sound like they weren't mastered very well. The only way I know how to describe it: almost as if they were encoded to mp3 @ 128kbps and back somewhere along the line.

Anyway, that weirdness probably wouldn't be noticeable by that many people and definitely wouldn't stop me (obviously) from whole-heartedly recommending this CD to the whole world. So buy it! :D

Army of LOVE just what we need!!!
I heard about this CD when it was released and have just looped back to listen to the clips of these tracks... One world is such a great melody and thought. Besides uplifting... these are songs that make me feel good. I am choosey about CDs I buy these the collection is out of hand. This is one I will buy (can't wait to hear the rest of the songs) and recommend...Thanks to the artists for writing, voicing these words, and performing this music. Power to the people, right on.

So Uplifting!
One World is one of my all-time favorite songs, but I love the message/vision of all of them. I play this CD a lot when I need a mood boost, as a reminder to self that there is a lot of love in the world, if you believe.
