ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
THE VOICE: FROM BAMA 2 BAGHDAD was a project that wrote itself. I know that sounds strange, but when I arrived in Iraq I was frustrated with the state of Hip Hop and it's lack of creativity, lack of individualism, and basically the lack of love for the art. Six months later after conversations with Soldiers, Contractors, TCN's (Third Country Nationals) Iraqi Citizens, and Iraqi Soldiers who served under Sadam along with my own experiances the project began to take form. I started thinking about my beginning coming from Lanett Alabama, and ending up in the hostile environment of Iraq and I begin to write about that journey. The Voice details life highs and lows, and the day to day struggles that we all must conquer. This project will take you on a emotional roller coaster that will make you laugh, cry, dance, and most of all THINK.

The real is here!
As an intricate part of this project I am somewhat biased. But this album is dope regardless. Son is a grimy visionary. Big up to DotNice and DJ Cassanova. This project was greatly needed. As a gulf war vet myself, I can definitely relate. Salaam

Real, Resourceful, and Dangerous
The CD is what most soldiers feel, and it is very resourceful for those who don't know what most people go through in life and in Iraq. It's dangerous because the artist actually walked the shoes of what's being displayed on this CD. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars because everybody in the world won't understand how powerful this album is. In my eyes it is 5 stars because it's on point and the truth. Oh yeah the artist is incredible. You gotta love it. America you gotta love it.

Being a female soldier in Iraq I can definitely relate to the concept of the CD. I hope it gets the recognition it deserves.

This is a must hear.
This CD hit you right in the heart from life as a sothern boy growing up to the daily life in Iraq. I am in Iraq now and there is no way he could have wrote this album but from have been there and lived it first hand. He wrote what we live and feel everyday. I bought 10 CD's just to give 9 away to troops here. You better get your copy!

The realest words on CD....Every word is 100% true......
Hip Hop at it's truest.....This CD is the battlefield report of current events as we speak......This is the real education in this hip hop culture from the front lines.....This rare and true project is the everyday life of ordinary people, military civilians, and soldiers spoken from the ones who live it, day in and day out....FROM BAMA 2 BAGHDAD...Peace
