Not just one-of-those Americana musician
When I read the review on a Dutch alt.country website, it made me curious. So I went to the myspace page and the songs knocked me off my feet. Especially the songs... Well, actually every song on this album is a feast for my ears. I surely enjoy the style becuz it's not just another Americana cd, or just one of those singer/ songwriter who takes the efford and sings songs that you've already heard.

Worth the wait
I first heard of One Wolf back in June 2007. The songs "Haunted" and "Don't Take It Personal" on the myspace page were what initially caught my attention. I was sufficiently intrigued to follow the band for the next 8 months, as various setbacks pushed back the release date of the album until mid-February.

It was absolutely worth the wait.

I can hear the Starflyer 59 influence, not just in the production, but also in Daniel Markham's songwriting. There's also a wonderful country vibe (which shines through without the usual twangy singing or fiddles or steel guitars).

I suspect that One Wolf will only get better with time.
