On the Lam

by Todd Wilkinson & The Goombahles

Instrumental Jazz Rock Fusion that is anything BUT Smooth Jazz! The Goombahles are inspired by bands like Weather Report, Return to Forever, Tribal Tech, Jean Luc Ponty, and David Sanborn. And maybe that is the rub; we are a band, not a jam session.
Genre: Jazz: Jazz Fusion

The Goombahles. Picture a stereotypical Goombah playing timbales: A kind of Italian South American hybrid I suppose. That’s really what this music is, a con-fusion of styles and contemporary tracks. I originally wrote these tunes in the early 2000s, but then I relocated back to the Kansas City area, built a studio in my basement, and we recorded most of the tracks around 2010. Of course that’s the year I began teaching full time, so this project has been on the back-burner quite awhile. I finished mixing them this summer and I present to you On The Lam.

All tunes Composed and Arranged by Todd Wilkinson, and copyright protected B.M.I. 2019
