ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
ooglebe: WHAT

guitarist/singer PETER J. BELLOMO, keyboardist/singer DREW BRADY, singer/bassist/composer JAIME DEJESUS, and drummer JARED WILLIAMS spent their time as a band defining borders, and crossing them when necessary. at their peak, they balanced the combination of composition and improvisation, creating a wonderful masterpiece that illustrated their directions and resolutions.

'WHAT' is the title given to this jaunt.

the basic form of the album spans over a day, from sunrise to evening. this multi-song form is strongly illustrated in the improvisation, and while the composition subtly expresses these ideas, the emotion expressed by the musicians within that forum truly pushes the evolution from dawn to dusk and beyond.
the music is founded on both sweaty and intellectual rhythmic ideas. thick and lustrous melodies add flavor to the rhythmic textures. it's a combination of the 'progressive rock' sound of The Police, the 'vocal/pop' sound of Stevie Wonder, and a jazzy exploration of mood through improvisation.

ooglebe: has since dissolved and resolved into another project. ALEO is a continuation of the compositions with similar ideals, and a new avenue to give other musicians the opportunity to add their personalities into the music.
ALEO performs over the nyc/philly megalopolis, and a new album is in the shed, which will celebrate the collection of those different personalities/musicians along with the great fiesta of Jaime's composition and Jared's inventive cultivation.

i think the entire album may be resounding the sun's cycle, from sunrise to evening...
what a refreshing, yet familiar style - the vocals are great, the instruments are great - i love it!

Good stuff, man!
If you can imagine a crossover between early Dead and Yes, here it is!
Ooglebe is a top notch group which puts new meaning to the terms “progressive” and “fusion”, so maybe they could be labeled as a “profusion” band!(??)!
Works for me, but its up to the guys in the group. Either way, they’re very cool.
The sound is very different. Clean, crisp, tight and jazzy, yet loose and improvisational at the same time.
Musically speaking, they know what they’re after, and just how to get it.
