Album Notes
Opie Bellas (her full name is Kalliope) has been singing for radio and TV commercials, Clubs and Jazz Festivals in the United States, Switzerland, Japan and Australia. She is a regular performer in New York as well as her home in San Francisco. Ms Bellas was a classical radio show host and has recorded Children's Books on Tape for Macmillan Publishing Company. Her recordings are sensuous, soulful and warm.

Critics have described her voice this way..... a sophisticated, honey-warm jazz sound like Bellas - and phrasing that would have made Ella nod in admiration......says Stephanie Salter of the San Francisco Chronicle........' A velvety tone with warm, incisive reading of song lyric, Bellas has an uncluttered approach to the melody lne, a voice deceptively clear but layered with intriguing shadows to cast new flavors on songs like Live For Life and Windmills of Your Mind.....says Elizabeth Ahfors of Cabaret Scenes Magazine - New York City.

Debbie de Coudreaux

clear, concise, heartfelt singing with a glorius instrument of a voice...
It is such a joy to hear a singer 'sing' the song without adding every embellishment known to mankind! Her voice is like honey and I can listen to her all day and night!

George Jacobs

she's fabulous! I have now bought all of her CDs.

I like your CD "How do you keep the music playing". Can I order it also, because I am from Munich. You are a great talent. Like your voice and the arrangements.

I heard you in Morgantown, W.v., and I love your voice and your style. I will be ordering some of your music. Keep going strong. You rock!

Simply beautiful
This is a must for anyone who appreciates the sound of pure, heartfelt singing. Opie's voice is a gift used well and there isn't a "throwaway" song on the cd.
