Album Notes
OrangeEnvy's 2005 release Breaking Point explodes right out of the CD case with the intense, raw, in your face title track, appropriately dubbed, "Breaking Point". "Don't Ask Why" keeps the intensity pumping with it's upbeat steady rhythm. Suddenly you find yourself lost in the clear, almost acoustic guitar and vocal sound of "In My Mind". A song written and performed from the heart. Then the eeriness of the night creeps in with the Ozzy influenced, "Dark Wind". A must crank-it-up for the volume knob, just to feel the energy beating against your chest! The Fuel, Seven Mary Three influence of "Go Away" carries that alternative vibe and feel to the extreme. Stepping the pace down slightly, the lyrics and strange guitar riffs and rhythms of "Alone" draw you in to feel that emotion. "Stop" brings out the contradiction of love and hate with it's passionately, intense, almost angry vocals and mood. Arriving at "Nothing Could Be", a composition that cuts forcefully deep like an action packed movie soundtrack. Then out of nowhere comes "Field of Grey" with a crack of thunder fading then building into the epic saga that makes us human. To complete the album, you will find yourself singing along with the stadium type chants of "Goodbye".

We hope you enjoy this album as much as we did creating it!

The Charlotte NC based alternative rock band, OrangeEnvy was formed in the fall of 2003 and are currently performing along the east coast. Their genre-bending hooks and melodies keep them with a busy show schedule and a fast growing fan base. The band has received airplay on many radio stations and have two live television performances. Look for them at a venue near you!

OrangeEnvy is: Neil Jackson- lead vocals and guitar, Jeff Dunegan- bass guitar, Xeng Yang- guitar and backing vocals, Elaine Jackson- drums and backing vocals and, you might say... "No way!" ...but yes, she is also Neil's mom.

I was taken by the lyrics. Such songwriting abilities!
I was literally taken by the lyrics of the songs. In My Mind was probably my favorite. It must have been written about someone very special. This CD conveys passion, intensity, darkness and peace within. It is a must listen to and will stay in my CD changer!
