ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A BEIRA DEL SERENO (the edge of the serene) was written mostly while living and working in Mozambique, southern Africa.

Lorenzo Buhne produced the album at his Made in Space Studio, Los Angeles, California.

The acoustic guitar driven songs are complimented by Hawaiian lap steel, viola, slide whistle, jaw harp, bass, background vocals, and a unique array of percussive instruments and drums.

Equal parts 'round the campfire acoustic folk, anthropological field recording and social protest, chris osburn's A BEIRA DEL SERENO makes for a great CD to add to your collection!

Excellent Late 90s EP--Ripe for Rediscovery!
Chris Osburn's 1998 seven-song cycle relates the tale of a young man losing his faith in the integrity of the "civilized" society in which he's grown up. At the same time, he finds fascination in exploring the world outside his small hometown, as inescapably drawn into it as listeners will be to this provocative and insightful EP.
