Album Notes
A family affair plus one, the Thompson's have been playing music for most of their lives. Charlie Thompson, formerly of The Parrots, and Flyin'Blind is revered among musicians in Charleston. He has shared the stage with the likes of the The Allman Brothers, The Byrds, The Marshall Tucker Band, and The Fabulous Thunderbirds, just to name a few. Charlie's oldest son, Cortie, has been writing music for the past 10 years and has played with bands in Charleston, Clemson, and Big Sky, MT. An established singer/songwriter, Cortie is on the right path to emulating his father's success. Matt Thompson, the youngest son, has had to make a huge decision to pursue music in Charleston rather than surfing the warm waters of Costa Rica. Matt has developed much of his unique songwriting style from molding reggae, funk, and rock and roll. Jack Jack is the newest addition to Overstood, hailing from the mighty state of Delaware. He is a trained jazz drummer and has finally added the "groove to the tunes". Its all come to be, come check these guys out all over Charleston!
