ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Chain Link Fence is very ambitious first solo recording project, with all vocals and instruments (except drums) performed by Paddy. These are not love songs, nor your average pop anxst. These songs are generally upbeat melodic and lyrical observations, with rich harmonies and a generous offering of time signatures.

Sonically this is a modern blend of progressive rock and pop. While some obvious comparisons would be to Supertramp, Max Webster, and perhaps Yes, these are definitely not lost songs from the 70s. The refreshing range of material on this CD is truly in a style of its own.

Paddy has worked on albums with Todd Fancey (New Pornographers), Sara Lapsley (The Gay, Vancouver Nights), Rodney Graham, and Characters. He has also composed soundtracks for several video works and multi-media installations, including works shown at the Venice Biennale, Vancouver Art Gallery, and National Gallery of Canada.
