Thinner Than Water

Album Notes
“You spread yourself thinner than water” the female singer wails to an unfaithful man, pleading, “I can’t be just half a woman — I gotta have all of you!” She tries to reason with him because “time will catch up to you and it’ll turn you around so fast”. Steve Wolfe does a masterful job of adding an emotional, screaming, wailing saxophone to the blues melody. The tempo and meter is similar to “A Natural Woman” by Carole King, made popular by Aretha Franklin, and Led Zeppelin’s “Since I’ve Been Loving You”.
