Album Notes
Winners of the LMC Award for 'The Best Young Band',
'The Best Live Band' and ''The Best Band' in 2003

PAiL are set to make a big impact on the music industry. While 3 of them are still 'under age', their maturity, creative force and sense of purpose is awesome.
Their live performance combines the vibrancy and enthusiasm of youth with the charisma and confidence of the greats.
Their loyal fan base is growing daily and it is only a matter of time before the 'big boys' will be queuing up for their signature.

Seb Koehorst - vocals (occasional guitar)
"...and in diminutive vocalist Seb Koehorst, they have the most ferocious rasp in rock." (Peter Guy- LMC). Seb is a true original. His main passion is for poetry and he has a vulnerability that is irresistable. However, on stage, he roars like a lion, then squeels like a pig, then melts your heart with a compassion and whistfulness that belies his 16 years of age. In rehearsals, you will find him furiously scribbling new lyrics on his notepad, while the band explores new grooves and licks.

Pieter Koehorst - guitar and vocals
Pieter's talent for guitar riffs is unequalled. Driving yet melodic, screaming and moaning, and crunching any doubts that, as a guitar stylist, he will be taking his well-deserved place amongst the greats of rock, despite his 17 years of age.

Lee 'Hen' Henry - Bass
Hen is solid as a rock, and is responsible for many of the timeless riffs around which the magic of PAIL is woven. His attitude of 'anything is possible' elevates him as one of the most creative bassplayers ever.

Mark Koehorst - Drums
Mark is Seb and Pieter's dad and an experienced pro. In his own band GILES, he sings and plays guitar, but in PAIL, he is the all important anchor man. He is also the manager of the band.

Essential stuff from a band with the world at its feet
May's Choice Cut: So what did you expect from the LMC's band of 2003, a wet dream? Wakey, wakey... From the opening throat ripping riff of Convulsions, PAiL make their intentions clear - this is heavy music of gargantuan proportions. Piet's electro-grind axe work is nothing short of unyielding audio violence (check the savage riffs to Morph and Throw It Aside) while Hen and Mark produce the type of calculated hammer bass and drum beats (check Black Pepper No. 3) normally associated with a bludgeoning serial killer. Central to the PAiL phenomenon is little Seb's colossal wail - check the excruciating finale of Black Pepper, you won't fail to be amazed. And those listeners expecting it to be a non-stop audio assault will be pleased to hear the delicate piano refrains to instrumental closer Leech. Elsewhere, there's the fans' favourite scat-attack of Throw It Aside, the thrash-riot of Moderate Roger and the best lyric of 2004 - "You're like Hitler having an epileptic fit" (Understand). Make no mistake, this is essential stuff from a band with the world at its feet.
