Album Notes
Singer/songwriter Pamela Machala ("MOCK-uh-luh") creates a delicious style of indie piano pop, influenced by her love of jazz and R&B. Twin Cities Newscastic describes "the meticulously masterful song-craft of Pamela Machala" as "both modern and familiar, like a new offering at your favorite restaurant." Growing up in a family of musicians, music was a way of life for Pamela from an early age. Her impressive songwriting and piano chops recall the timeless pop sensibilities of Carole King, the subtle jazz fusion of Norah Jones, and the eclectic lyricism of Regina Spektor. Her debut album, Golden Delicious, was recorded in 2012 at Mark Rubel's Pogo Studio (Alison Krauss) in her hometown of Champaign-Urbana, IL. In addition to touring nationally several times a year, Pamela is currently finishing work on a second album, When I Get Home, due out on June 16, 2015.
