ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Released in 2005, this CD features the wonderful acoustic sound of Pangia. In addition to original tracks by Pat Olson on oud, guitar and vocals, there are lovely arrangements of Egyptian, Armenian, Greek, Lebanese, Turkish and Persian dance classics. Very popular with Belly Dancers and Musicians alike. Here's what people are saying:

"You guys Rock! Each new CD just keeps getting better. What a great selection of music and such a welcome change from all the Hakim sound-alikes that are everywhere today. Not that there's anything wrong with that :) Superb sound - extremely danceable. I give it a 10! Thanks again."

"I really enjoy listening and dancing to your CDs. I especially LOVE Volume 3. You really RAK!!!"

Pangia Vol. 3

modern rendition of old classics
The music on this CD is a modern, very well-done rendition of old classics. I recognized songs from old LP's that I have.
The music would be great for dance instruction as the instrumentals are very clear and the rhythm precise.

I love Pangia
This music is beautiful to the ear and very "dancer-friendly." But, it is also interesting and dynamic enough to keep in your music library for all times. I will use these CD's to teach with because the rhythms are clear and concise. This band is terrific.

Best Pangia CD yet!
Picked up the new CD at Rakkasah West and have been playing it for three days! Great CD. I especially love Keskin Bicak (track 2) and Mystic Blue Caravan (track 5) but honestly the whole thing is one of your very best efforts. I hope to be dancing to them soon!
