ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Paola’s creative work is inspired by cultural contrasts and the perspective gained while living and experiencing different countries; Colombia and the U.S.A. Her compositions and arrangements reflect the emotions that must be dealt with while trying to balance longing and homesickness, with the opportunities that arise in the present.
Her current group personifies a true fusion of contemporary styles. The music Paola composed and arranged is as diverse as the members that perform it. Her music takes into account styles from the Caribbean region in Colombia, drags in jazz and rock elements, and plays even with classical styles; classical piano solo pieces adapted for trio or quartet performance.
This album contains three unique arrangements and performances of pieces by Latin-American composers; Jaime Echavarria, Mario Gareña and Alberto Ginastera.
