ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
PARADOX 2WX "DARK REIGN" the debut album, release date Feb 14th The St Valentines day Massacre! Heres info on Paradox and his Debut album. Multiple philosophies but bottom line, as you see my music/image to be dark and evil, most will conclude me to be just that, yet in all reality with the industry filled with rappers who speak of materialism, and sex they are accepted and not shunned yet those things can be the true evil, so in fact i am it's complete opposite, i also deal with the other reality that man has a dark side, not meaning evil, but to deny this we deny who and what we are. Death is a part of life, we start dying from the time we are born (hence the imagery of death) i don't see it as evil but as a part of life. maybe even the beginning of peace.

the anger and supposed metaphors to violence are a message to who and what we are as humans, at war always, even with our selves. on the personal tip, i don't like what i see, an industry that is based on bling and sex, at the world...i see less i like, i have a track called four horseman, in it i am DEATH...is death evil? no. i know i have marketable and street credibility but the hiphop music industry has no balance, how many bling bling songs can fill the radio waves? even on the underground scene i am a bit unique, it will take proper promotion and hard work but without struggle there can be no progress.

Yet I have to smile when i think of iron maiden, kiss taking rock to another level, maybe i can accomplish the same, my fans wont be fans but a following, leaving me with longevity. hopefully im not too ahead of my time. So check out DARK REIGN im sure you wont be disappointed.

TAMARA HARRIS

Situated in Tampa via NYC, Paradox/2wx is a mystical champion of the MP3 chart. He has a Grim Reaper type design motivated by the love of hip-hop destined to kill any MC that is not what he believes to be a true representation of the art. Dark Reign has convinced innumerable online listeners that whatever he stands for is good. They are not off in commending his passion and goal to make music that is distinctly Paradox2wx. The lyrics about spiritual power manifested through his force of MCing, painted face, red-eye and penchant for skulls will make onlookers configure him as a Latino Necro. White and full of gore, Necro deals with darkness in particular the mutilation of the body in some songs yet he and Paradox are nothing alike. But in this business where suits and some hip-hop entrepreneurs alike need to compare someone to someone else for possible market credibility the contrast is going to happen. Paradox's music and persona reads like a good hip-hop comic book with the appropriate music to help the stories glow. The female voice properly narrates "Four Horseman" which gets complimented by Krazystylz, Reason, Noctik, Rogue and tight construction with racing beats that make the pulse of the song. Honesty gleams from down to earth stories such as the modest "Product" centered on the ebbs and flows of daily life. "Lyrical Imbalances" tips the scales with an unfolding of syllables produced to sound like a stream of consciousness message in a bottle. Whether it's the semi "Flash Gordon" soundtrack looming on "On The Attack" or the alt. pop licks in "Rise To Power" every moment of the disc reveals an artist in the twilight of self-actualization and to witness it is worth every listen

JONATHAN SANDERS

This track is a prime example of everything there is that is good in hip hop music. Paradox/2wx totally has this style going on. Give this a listen, you'll see what I mean!

First off, this is some well produced hip hop. From the intro, which sounds like the beginning of a television scene, to the edgy guitar tinged background beat, this song is creative all around. The vocals are totally smooth and are among the best I've heard. Using their creative edge to allow themselves to expand the horizons of the hip hop world, Paradox/2wx is heading straight up.

I can't find much wrong with the production on this, and the sound is smooth while the lyrics are powerful and far reaching. You want good hip hop that will stretch your horizons and keep you listening time and again? Give this shit a spin, you won't be regretting it any time soon!

The Cure For Hip-Hop's Current Maladies!
Paradox is quite simply one of the illest emcees I've ever heard, and it's a shame that we aren't bombarded with his music at every media outlet. This is a rare and welcome case of a treasure shining brighter when hidden than other so-called "stars" do right in your face. It's clear that he cares about his listener, as he's crafted every song with his audience being considered. I'd say more about this talent, but I'd rather go back and keep listening to more of his incredible album myself!

what a difference!
I clicked on the paradox to give it a try. I have heard hip hop in New York City and did not like it much because the music and lyrics were too monotone. This is something like I have never heard !! The best hip hop I have ever heard!! Finally I can listen to hip hop with a tang!!

Loved the cd, Paradox 2wx is underground but in his music he expresses truth and to those who's shoes fits wear it!!! More musicians of this caliper are needed, where they're not affraid to speak out to the public with vast knowledge. Best of luck on an awesome cd!! Look forward to hearing some more...
